Berks County Medical Society Alliance Annual Health Project 2025

March 10 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

$52.00

This program is open to anyone interested in learning more about how trauma affects our youth and their behaviors.  Trauma informed approach is a framework that recognizes, understands, and responds to the impact of trauma on students’ learning and behavior. This approach acknowledges that students may have experienced various forms of trauma, such as abuse, neglect, family instability, poverty, or community violence, which affect their emotional regulation, behavior, relationships, and academic performance.  Adopting a trauma-informed approach in the classroom and beyond helps create a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment that promises resilience and enhances students’ ability to succeed.
